And what should I actually be looking at besides the number on the scale?
Those are better questions.

What Is Body Composition?
Most people begin a fitness program by focusing on body weight.
They say:
“I want to lose 20 pounds.”
But body weight alone doesn’t tell us what those 20 pounds consist of.
Your body contains:
- Muscle
- Body fat
- Bone
- Organs
- Water
- Glycogen
- Connective tissue
- Food and fluid moving through your digestive system
Body composition is the relationship between these different components, particularly fat mass and lean mass.
This distinction matters because two people can weigh exactly the same and have dramatically different physiques, strength levels, metabolic needs, and physical capabilities.
Someone who weighs 180 pounds with a substantial amount of muscle is very different from someone who weighs 180 pounds with much less lean tissue.
That’s why the goal shouldn’t always be:
“Lose weight.”
Often a better goal is:
Lose unnecessary body fat while preserving—or building—muscle.
That’s body composition.
The Scale Is Useful, but It Isn’t the Goal
The bathroom scale is a tool.
It is not a report card.
Body weight can fluctuate several pounds because of:
- Water
- Sodium intake
- Carbohydrate intake
- Glycogen storage
- Alcohol
- Inflammation
- Hard workouts
- Stress
- Hormonal changes
- Bowel movements
- Food still being digested
You can eat perfectly Monday and weigh more Tuesday.
You can also eat an enormous restaurant dinner Saturday and weigh less Sunday morning.
Neither tells you much by itself.
What matters is the trend over time.
For body-composition goals, a better collection of measurements includes:
- Average body weight
- Waist circumference
- Progress photos
- How your clothes fit
- Strength
- Workout performance
- Energy
- Recovery
- Mobility
- How you feel physically
If your waist is getting smaller while your strength remains stable or improves, you’re probably moving in a good direction even if the scale isn’t falling as quickly as you expected.
The First Principle: Energy Still Matters
You can debate diets all day, but body weight is strongly influenced by energy balance.
Your body requires energy.
We measure food energy in calories.
Over time:
If you consistently consume more energy than your body uses, body weight tends to increase.
If you consistently consume less energy than your body uses, body weight tends to decrease.
That doesn’t mean human metabolism is a perfectly simple calculator.
It isn’t.
Your energy expenditure changes as your body weight, food intake, activity, and metabolism change. NIH researchers specifically developed the Body Weight Planner because the traditional idea that every fixed calorie deficit produces perfectly predictable linear weight loss does not accurately represent how the human body adapts over time.
But the basic principle still matters:
Energy intake and energy expenditure influence body weight.
Ignoring calories doesn’t make calories stop existing.
Where Do Your Calories Go?
Your body uses energy constantly.
Even if you spent the entire day lying in bed, you would still burn calories.
Your total daily energy expenditure comes from several sources.
Resting Metabolism
Your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) or Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) is the energy needed to keep your body functioning.
That includes:
- Breathing
- Circulation
- Brain activity
- Organ function
- Tissue repair
- Body-temperature regulation
- Cellular activity
For most people, resting metabolism represents the largest portion of daily calorie expenditure.
Everyday Movement
This is often called NEAT, or Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis.
It includes things like:
- Walking around the house
- Working
- Standing
- Shopping
- Cleaning
- Yard work
- Taking the stairs
- Fidgeting
- Cooking
- Playing with your kids
- Walking the dog
NEAT is one reason two people with the same gym routine may have very different total calorie needs.
Digestion
Your body also spends energy digesting and processing food.
This is called the Thermic Effect of Food.
Protein generally requires more energy to process than carbohydrate or dietary fat.
Exercise
Then we have intentional activity:
- Strength training
- Walking
- Running
- Cycling
- Hiking
- Swimming
- Sports
- Conditioning
Exercise matters.
But it isn’t the only time your body burns calories.

How Many Calories Should You Eat?
There is no universal answer.
Your calorie requirements depend on factors including:
- Age
- Sex
- Height
- Body weight
- Muscle mass
- Activity level
- Occupation
- Training
- Daily movement
- Individual metabolism
The NIH Body Weight Planner uses variables including age, sex, height, weight, and activity level to estimate personalized calorie needs rather than assuming the same intake works for everyone.
That is important.
A 5’2″, 125-pound office worker and a 6’3″, 220-pound construction worker should not expect identical calorie requirements.
Maintenance Calories: Your Most Useful Starting Point
Your maintenance calories are approximately the amount you can eat while keeping your average body weight relatively stable.
There are formulas and calculators that estimate maintenance intake.
Use them.
But understand what they are:
Starting estimates.
Your body provides better long-term information.
Suppose a calculator estimates your maintenance calories at:
2,400 calories per day.
You eat an average of about 2,400 calories for several weeks.
If your average weight remains stable, that estimate is probably reasonably close.
If you’re steadily gaining weight, your actual maintenance requirement is probably lower than your current intake.
If you’re steadily losing weight, your maintenance requirement is probably higher.
Your real-world results help refine the estimate.
Think Weekly, Not Just Daily
One of the biggest mistakes people make is evaluating nutrition one day at a time.
Suppose your maintenance intake is approximately:
2,500 calories per day.
Monday through Friday, you eat 2,000 calories.
That’s a 500-calorie daily difference, or about:
2,500 calories across five days.
Then the weekend arrives.
Saturday includes brunch, a few beers, dinner out, and dessert.
Sunday includes snacks, takeout, and drinks.
If those two days erase the calorie difference you created during the week, your weekly average may end up close to maintenance.
Then Monday comes and you say:
“I’ve been dieting all week and I’m not losing anything.”
Your body doesn’t reset its energy balance every midnight.
Look at the larger pattern.
Eating for Fat Loss
If fat loss is your goal, you generally need to consume less energy than you’re using over time.
But there is a major difference between:
Eating somewhat below maintenance
and
Eating as little as possible.

Don’t Turn Fat Loss Into Starvation
Aggressive calorie restriction can certainly make the scale move.
But faster scale loss isn’t automatically better body composition.
A good fat-loss program should attempt to preserve:
- Muscle
- Strength
- Training performance
- Energy
- Recovery
- Sleep
- Quality of life
The goal isn’t to become a smaller, weaker version of yourself.
The goal is to reduce excess fat while keeping the tissue and capabilities you want.
For many people, a moderate calorie deficit is more sustainable than a dramatic one.
Instead of immediately cutting 800 or 1,000 calories from your estimated needs, you might begin closer to a 10–20% reduction from maintenance, then evaluate your results.
For example:
If maintenance is approximately 2,500 calories:
A 10% reduction is about 2,250 calories.
A 20% reduction is about 2,000 calories.
Neither number is automatically correct.
They’re starting points.
Track what happens.
Don’t Keep Cutting Calories Every Time the Scale Pauses
Weight loss is rarely a perfectly straight line.
You may see:

That does not mean your diet stopped working every time the scale moved upward.
Water can easily mask fat loss temporarily.
Instead of reacting to individual weigh-ins, compare weekly averages.
Give your plan enough time to produce information before changing it.

Protein: The Foundation of Body Composition Nutrition
If there is one macronutrient I want people pursuing strength and better body composition to pay attention to, it is protein.
Protein provides amino acids your body uses to build and repair tissues.
It becomes especially important when you’re:
- Strength training
- Building muscle
- Losing fat
- Recovering from exercise
- Trying to preserve lean mass as you age
Protein is not just for bodybuilders.
It is part of maintaining a capable body.
How Much Protein Do You Need?
Protein recommendations vary depending on the individual and the goal.
For active people and those resistance training, sports-nutrition guidance commonly recommends substantially more than the minimum amount needed merely to prevent deficiency.
The International Society of Sports Nutrition has concluded that approximately 1.4–2.0 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day is sufficient for most exercising individuals seeking to build or maintain muscle.
To convert pounds to kilograms:
Body weight in pounds ÷ 2.2 = kilograms
A 180-pound person weighs approximately:
82 kilograms
At 1.4–2.0 g/kg:
115–164 grams of protein per day
You don’t necessarily need to live at the upper end.
Your needs depend on factors including:
- Training volume
- Age
- Total calorie intake
- Muscle-building goals
- Fat-loss goals
- Body size
- Health status
People with kidney disease or certain other medical conditions should discuss high-protein diets with an appropriate healthcare professional.
Spread Protein Across the Day
You don’t need to consume all your protein at dinner.
A simple approach is to include a meaningful protein source at each meal.
For example:
Breakfast
Eggs, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, or another protein-rich food.
Lunch
Chicken, fish, lean beef, turkey, tofu, beans, or another substantial protein source.
Dinner
Another quality protein source.
Snacks
Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, protein shakes, jerky, eggs, dairy, or other protein-rich options as needed.
For someone targeting roughly 140 grams per day, four servings around 30–40 grams each may be much easier than realizing at 8:00 PM that you’ve only eaten 45 grams.
You Don’t Have to Live on Chicken Breast
Protein variety makes nutrition easier to sustain.
Depending on your dietary preferences, options include:
- Eggs
- Greek yogurt
- Cottage cheese
- Milk
- Chicken
- Turkey
- Lean beef
- Pork
- Fish
- Shellfish
- Tuna
- Salmon
- Beans
- Lentils
- Tofu
- Tempeh
- Edamame
- Protein powders
Protein powder is convenient.
It is not mandatory.
Think of it as food in a convenient format—not a requirement for fitness.
Carbohydrates Are Not the Enemy
Carbohydrates have probably been blamed for more nutrition problems than they deserve.
Your body can use carbohydrate as an efficient source of energy, particularly for higher-intensity activity.
Carbohydrates can support:
- Strength training
- Hiking
- Running
- Sports
- Physical work
- Glycogen replenishment
- Recovery
Carbohydrate-rich foods can also provide important nutrients and fiber.
Examples include:
- Potatoes
- Sweet potatoes
- Rice
- Oats
- Beans
- Fruit
- Vegetables
- Whole grains
- Pasta
- Bread
The current Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2025–2030 emphasize nutrient-dense foods including vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, protein foods, dairy, and whole grains while recommending that highly processed foods and excessive refined carbohydrates, added sugars, sodium, and unhealthy fats be reduced.
That is very different from saying:
“Never eat carbohydrates.”
Carbohydrates and the Scale
Here’s something important if you weigh yourself regularly.
Stored carbohydrate is called glycogen.
Glycogen is stored with water.
So if you’ve been eating low carbohydrate and then have pizza, pasta, bread, or a high-carbohydrate meal, the scale may jump.
That does not automatically mean you’ve suddenly gained several pounds of body fat.
You may simply be holding more:
- Glycogen
- Water
- Sodium
- Food volume
This is another reason short-term scale fluctuations shouldn’t control your nutrition decisions.
Dietary Fat Is Essential Too
Dietary fat isn’t the enemy either.
Your body needs fat for important biological functions.
Healthy fat sources can include:
- Olive oil
- Nuts
- Seeds
- Fatty fish
- Eggs
- Certain dairy products
But there is a practical issue with fat:
It is calorie dense.
Protein contains approximately:
4 calories per gram
Carbohydrate:
4 calories per gram
Fat:
9 calories per gram
That doesn’t make dietary fat unhealthy.
It means portions matter when fat loss is the goal.
A few extra pours of olive oil, handfuls of nuts, spoonfuls of nut butter, cheese, dressing, or creamy sauces can add significant calories without looking like much food.
“Healthy” Foods Can Still Create a Calorie Surplus
This is one of the biggest misunderstandings in nutrition.
Someone says:
“I don’t understand why I’m gaining weight. I eat healthy.”
Those two things are not mutually exclusive.
You can eat nutritious foods and still consume more calories than you use.
Consider foods such as:
- Nuts
- Nut butters
- Olive oil
- Granola
- Avocado
- Cheese
- Dried fruit
- Smoothies
Many can absolutely belong in a healthy diet.
They’re also easy to consume in large quantities.
Nutrition quality matters.
So does quantity.
Food Quality Still Matters
Calories affect energy balance.
But your diet should do more than satisfy a calorie equation.
You also need:
- Protein
- Fiber
- Essential fatty acids
- Vitamins
- Minerals
- Phytonutrients
- Fluids
Two 2,000-calorie diets can look dramatically different.
One could consist largely of:
- Sugary drinks
- Candy
- Chips
- Alcohol
- Highly processed convenience food
Another could contain:
- Lean protein
- Vegetables
- Fruit
- Potatoes
- Rice
- Whole grains
- Dairy
- Healthy fats
Could someone theoretically lose weight eating the first diet if calories were low enough?
Possibly.
Would that automatically make it a good nutrition strategy?
No.
Body weight is one outcome.
Health, performance, recovery, hunger, energy, and nutrient intake matter too.
Use a Simple Meal Framework
You don’t need to weigh every ingredient forever to build reasonable meals.
For many people, a basic plate can look like:
Protein
A substantial serving of:
- Meat
- Fish
- Eggs
- Dairy

- Another protein-rich food
Vegetables or Fruit
Add produce for nutrients, fiber, food volume, and variety.
Carbohydrate
Adjust based on your activity and goals:

Fat
Include an appropriate amount from foods or cooking ingredients.
This isn’t a rigid formula.
It’s a framework.
Fiber: The Part of Nutrition People Forget
Protein gets attention.
Calories get attention.
Fiber often gets ignored.
Fiber-rich foods can help support:
- Digestive health
- Satiety
- Blood-glucose regulation
- Cardiovascular health
Common sources include:
- Vegetables
- Fruit
- Beans
- Lentils
- Whole grains
- Seeds
Instead of obsessing over whether a food is labeled “good” or “bad,” ask:
What does my overall diet look like?
Does it regularly contain whole, nutrient-dense foods?
That’s the more useful question.
Hydration Matters More Than People Think
Your nutrition plan isn’t only what you chew.
Fluid intake matters too.
Hydration needs vary with:
- Body size
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Exercise
- Sweat rate
- Work environment
Someone working outside in August has very different hydration requirements from someone sitting in an air-conditioned office.
Water should generally make up the foundation of your fluid intake.
But depending on sweat loss, exercise duration, and conditions, electrolytes may also matter.
Liquid Calories Are Easy to Miss
If fat loss has stalled, don’t only inspect what’s on your plate.
Look at what’s in your glass.
Calories can accumulate quickly through:
- Sweet tea
- Soda
- Juice
- Alcohol
- Specialty coffee drinks
- Creamers
- Energy drinks
- Smoothies
- Milk-based drinks
The NIH specifically notes that people often underestimate calories from both beverages and portion sizes when evaluating weight-management plans.
You don’t necessarily have to eliminate them.
You should simply know they’re there.
Alcohol and Body Composition
Alcohol presents an interesting problem.
Alcohol provides approximately:
7 calories per gram
But the bigger issue is often what happens around drinking.
Alcohol can be accompanied by:
- Appetizers
- Restaurant food
- Late-night eating
- Poorer food choices
- Reduced sleep quality
- Lower training motivation the next day
A couple drinks don’t automatically destroy your progress.
But repeated high-calorie weekends can quietly erase the deficit created during the week.
Eating for Muscle Gain
If your goal is building muscle, nutrition changes slightly.
Resistance training provides the stimulus.
Protein supplies building material.
Calories provide energy.
Recovery gives the body time to adapt.
You do not need to turn muscle building into an excuse to eat everything in sight.
A moderate calorie surplus can make more sense than an aggressive traditional “bulk.”
If you’re gaining weight rapidly, a significant portion of that additional weight may be fat rather than muscle.
Muscle growth is relatively slow.
Give it time.
Strength Training Is Critical for Body Composition
Nutrition alone can reduce body weight.
But if body composition is your goal, resistance training changes the conversation.
Strength training tells your body:
This muscle is useful. Keep it.
The American College of Sports Medicine’s updated 2026 position stand emphasizes resistance training as an effective tool for improving muscular function, hypertrophy, strength, power, and physical performance.
This is why I would rather see someone combine sensible nutrition with progressive strength training than chase weight loss through food restriction alone.
You don’t simply want a lighter body.
You want a more capable body.
What Is Body Recomposition?
Body recomposition means improving the ratio of muscle to fat—typically losing fat while gaining or preserving muscle.
For some people, particularly:
- New lifters
- People returning after a long break
- Individuals carrying significant excess body fat
- People whose previous training and nutrition were inconsistent
it may be possible to build muscle while simultaneously reducing fat.
More advanced lifters may find this process slower.
This is another reason the scale can be misleading.
Imagine that over several months you:
Lose 8 pounds of fat
and
Gain 4 pounds of muscle
The scale only shows:
4 pounds lost.
You could mistakenly think you’ve barely progressed.
But your body composition may have changed substantially.
The Goal Is Not Always Weight Loss
Some people should focus less on becoming lighter and more on becoming stronger.
Consider someone whose weight has barely changed for six months but who has:
- Reduced waist size
- Added muscle
- Improved blood pressure
- Increased strength
- Improved mobility
- Increased walking capacity
- Improved energy
Was the program unsuccessful because the scale didn’t move much?
Of course not.
Fitness is bigger than body weight.
Eating After 40
Nutrition becomes particularly important as we age.
One of the biggest physical assets we want to maintain is lean muscle tissue.
That makes:
- Resistance training
- Protein
- Adequate calorie intake
- Recovery
- Sleep
- Daily movement
increasingly valuable.
Getting older is not an excuse to stop challenging your body.
But training and nutrition should become more intentional.
For people in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, I’d rather see the focus become:
Get strong. Stay mobile. Maintain muscle. Control excess body fat. Keep moving.
Not:
See how little food you can survive on.
Under-Eating Can Be a Problem Too
Nutrition discussions often focus entirely on overeating.
But some highly motivated people make the opposite mistake.
They simultaneously:
- Cut calories aggressively
- Increase cardio
- Strength train
- Work long hours
- Sleep poorly
- Try to lose weight quickly
Then they wonder why they’re exhausted.
Possible signs that your overall fueling or recovery deserves another look include:
- Persistent fatigue
- Declining performance
- Unusual hunger
- Poor recovery
- Persistent soreness
- Irritability
- Feeling cold frequently
- Reduced libido
- Difficulty concentrating
- Sleep problems
These symptoms are not proof of inadequate calorie intake, and medical issues can cause similar problems.
But the solution to every fitness problem is not:
Eat less and exercise more.
Sometimes the body needs fuel.
Supplements: Start With Food
The supplement industry is very good at convincing people that they’re missing something.
Before building a giant supplement stack, ask whether you’ve handled the basics:
- Are you eating enough protein?
- Are you eating fruits and vegetables?
- Are you eating enough total food?
- Are you drinking enough water?
- Are you strength training?
- Are you sleeping?
- Are you moving regularly?
Supplements should supplement.
They should not become a substitute for fundamentals.
Do You Need to Count Calories?
Not necessarily.
Some people do extremely well tracking food.
It teaches them:
- Portion awareness
- Protein content
- Calorie density
- What normal servings actually look like
Others find long-term tracking annoying or mentally exhausting.
You can use calorie tracking as a temporary educational tool rather than a lifelong requirement.
Try tracking honestly for two weeks.
Not because every bite needs to be controlled.
Because awareness is useful.
Then you may eventually be able to manage your intake through habits and consistent meal structure.
If You Track Calories, Track Honestly
Tracking 1,800 calories while actually eating 2,500 doesn’t help.
The commonly forgotten calories are things like:
- Oil used for cooking
- Butter
- Dressing
- Condiments
- Coffee creamer
- Alcohol
- Bites while cooking
- Snacks
- Restaurant sauces
- Drinks
- Weekend meals
You’re not tracking calories to prove you’re “good.”
You’re collecting information.
There is no benefit to lying to your own food log.
The 80/20 Approach
Nutrition does not require perfection.
A practical approach for many people is to have most of their intake come from nutrient-dense foods while leaving room for enjoyment.
You can eat:
- Pizza
- Dessert
- Burgers
- Tacos
- Ice cream
- Restaurant meals
and still have a good diet.
The difference is whether those foods are part of your diet or the foundation of your diet.
Fit Morpheus isn’t about eliminating birthdays, vacations, dinner dates, or Saturday nights.
Build habits strong enough to survive real life.
One Meal Doesn’t Make You Fat
Just as one healthy meal doesn’t transform your body, one indulgent meal doesn’t ruin it.
Progress comes from repeated behavior.
Not one day.
If you eat more than planned:
Don’t starve yourself the next day.
Don’t punish yourself with cardio.
Don’t decide the week is ruined.
Return to your normal routine.
That’s it.
The ability to return to normal quickly is one of the most valuable nutrition skills you can develop.
Stop Using Food as Punishment and Reward
You do not need to “earn” dinner because you exercised.
And you don’t need to punish yourself because you ate dessert.
Exercise should not be punishment for eating.
Food should not become a moral scorecard.
A better relationship looks like:
I train because I want a capable body.
I eat because that body needs energy and nutrients.
Sometimes I eat purely because food is enjoyable.
All three can coexist.
A Practical Fit Morpheus Nutrition Day
There is no perfect meal plan, but here’s what a simple structure might look like.
Breakfast
Protein + carbohydrate + fruit
Example:
Eggs, oats, and berries.
Lunch
Protein + vegetables + carbohydrate
Example:
Grilled chicken, rice, and mixed vegetables.
Snack
Protein + something satisfying
Example:
Greek yogurt and fruit.
Dinner
Protein + vegetables + carbohydrate and/or healthy fat
Example:
Salmon, roasted potatoes, and vegetables.
Dessert
If you want it and it fits your overall plan:
Have dessert.
That looks remarkably boring compared with most diet marketing.
That’s exactly the point.
Nutrition doesn’t need to be extreme to work.
How to Build Your Own Nutrition Plan
Start with these seven steps.
Step 1: Define Your Goal
Are you trying to:
- Lose fat?
- Maintain?
- Build muscle?
- Improve performance?
- Improve health?
Don’t try to aggressively bulk and aggressively cut at the same time.
Know your priority.
Step 2: Estimate Maintenance Calories
Use a reasonable calculator or the NIH Body Weight Planner as a starting point.
Then compare the estimate with your actual body-weight trend.
Step 3: Establish Protein
For someone who trains regularly, something in the neighborhood of 1.4–2.0 g/kg/day can provide a useful evidence-based range for many healthy exercising adults.
Step 4: Build Meals Around Real Food
Prioritize:
- Protein
- Fruits
- Vegetables
- Whole grains and other useful carbohydrate sources
- Healthy fats
- Adequate fluids
This broadly aligns with the current 2025–2030 Dietary Guidelines’ emphasis on nutrient-dense foods and reducing excess highly processed food.
Step 5: Adjust Calories for Your Goal
Fat loss:
Small-to-moderate deficit.
Maintenance:
Remain near energy balance.
Muscle gain:
Small surplus may be useful.
Step 6: Strength Train
Give your body a reason to maintain and build muscle.
Step 7: Measure Results and Adjust
Use several weeks of data.
Then make small changes.
Not emotional ones.
What Should You Track?
You don’t need twenty measurements.
Choose a few useful ones.
Body Weight
Track averages, not individual days.
Waist Measurement
Very useful for fat-loss progress.
Strength
Are you maintaining or improving performance?
Photos
Take them under similar lighting and conditions.
Clothing
How your clothes fit often tells a story the scale misses.
Energy
Are you functioning better?
Recovery
Can you train consistently?

Fitness should improve your life, not just your spreadsheet.
Give Your Plan Time to Work
People often change nutrition plans too quickly.
Three days isn’t enough.
One weird weigh-in isn’t enough.
One weekend isn’t enough.

A sustainable nutrition system should eventually feel normal.
You shouldn’t constantly be:
“On a diet.”

Instead, build a way of eating that can handle:
- Work
- Vacations
- Restaurants
- Holidays
- Training
- Weekends
- Stress
- Family meals
Some days you’ll eat more.
Some days less.

Calories matter—but you don’t need to obsess over them.
Protein matters—especially when you train and as you age.
Carbohydrates are fuel, not the enemy.
Dietary fat is essential, but portions still matter.
Food quality and calorie quantity both matter.
Strength training changes what weight loss should look like.
Daily consistency matters more than perfect meals.
Your body is more than the number on your scale.
And the goal is not to eat as little as possible.
The goal is to eat appropriately for the body and life you’re trying to build.
Build the Body You Want to Live In
Body composition isn’t about winning a 12-week transformation contest.
It’s about what happens over years.
Can you maintain muscle?
Can you keep excess body fat under control?
Can you walk, lift, carry, climb, hike, work, travel, play, and live independently?
Can you enjoy food without allowing food to control you?
That’s a much better definition of successful nutrition.
You don’t need another extreme diet.
You need a system you understand.
Learn how much your body needs.
Eat enough protein.
Build most of your diet around nutrient-dense food.
Strength train.
Move every day.
Enjoy some food simply because you like it.
Watch the trends.
Adjust when necessary.
And keep going.
